Ingredients
- 8 manicotti shells
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 clove garlic crushed
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 (15.5-ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese grated
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish
- Cook the manicotti shells according to package directions.
- Drain the pasta before rinsing it in cold water.
- Drain again, and set it aside.
- Sauté the ground beef and the garlic in a skillet, while crumbling the beef, until the meat is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain the beef mixture.
- Add the cottage cheese, the mozzarella, the salt, and the mayonnaise to the skillet, stirring well.
- Stuff the manicotti shells with the meat mixture.
- Arrange the shells in the prepared baking dish.
- Combine the spaghetti sauce and the oregano.
- Pour the sauce over the manicotti.
- Sprinkle the tops of the manicotti with the parmesan cheese.
- Cover and bake for 15 minutes.
- Uncover and bake for 10 additional minutes.
- Serve.
