Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs plus more, to taste, for topping
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 7 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 large bananas sliced, plus more, to taste, for topping
  • 1 1/3 cups dulce de leche
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Line an 8-9-inch square pan with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, add 2 cups of the graham cracker crumbs, the brown sugar, the melted butter, and the cinnamon and mix to combine.
  • Press the crust crumble into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • Bake the crust until it is lightly golden, about 15 minutes.
  • Transfer the crust from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
  • Add 2 of the sliced bananas to the cooled crust in a single layer.
  • Top the bananas with the dulce de leche, spreading it out evenly.
  • Place the bars in the refrigerator to chill.
  • In a large bowl, add the heavy cream, the powdered sugar, and the vanilla, and using an electric mixer on medium-high speed, beat the cream mixture until light, fluffy, and stiff peaks form, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Spoon or pipe the whipped cream over top of the dulce de leche layer in the dish.
  • Top the bars with the extra cracker crumbs and the extra banana slices.
  • Slice and serve.
