Ingredients
- 1 peach very ripe, roughly chopped, plus more, to taste, sliced, for garnish
- ice to taste
- 1/2 ounce lime juice plus more, to taste
- 3 ounces tequila
- 1/2 ounce orange liqueur
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
- coarse salt to taste
Directions
- In a blender, add 1 of the chopped peaches and purée until smooth.
- Strain the puréed peach through a mesh strainer into a bowl and discard the bits of skin.
- In a cocktail shaker, add the ice, the puréed peach, 1/2 ounce of the lime juice, the tequila, the orange liqueur, and the simple syrup, cover, and shake well to combine.
- In a shallow dish, add the coarse salt.
- In a separate shallow dish, add the extra lime juice.
- Dip the rims of two serving glasses in the lime juice, then in the coarse salt.
- Fill each prepared serving glass halfway with more of the ice.
- Strain the cocktail mixture evenly between the prepared serving glasses.
- Serve garnished with the extra peach slices.
