Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 (1.25-ounce) envelope taco seasoning divided
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 (8-ounce) jar chunky salsa
- 1 (8-ounce) package shredded Mexican blend cheese divided
- 1 (10-ounce) bag Tostitos® Scoops®
- 1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
- fresh cilantro optional, to taste, for garnish
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and cook, while crumbling, until only a little pink remains, about 5 minutes.
- Drain the excess grease from the skillet.
- Add 1/2 of the taco seasoning and the water to the ground beef and cook, while stirring occasionally, until the water has evaporated and the beef is fully cooked.
- Add the salsa to the beef mixture and stir to combine.
- Add 1/2 of the cheese to the beef mixture and stir to combine until it is melted.
- Evenly fill each of the Scoops chips with the beef mixture and place them on a large baking sheet.
- Top the beef mixture in the chips evenly with the remaining cheese.
- Bake until the cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, add the remaining taco seasoning and the sour cream and whisk to combine.
- Serve the filled chips topped with the sour cream mixture and the cilantro.
