Ingredients

  • 10 slices thick-cut bacon chopped
  • 1 (13-ounce) bag kettle-cooked thick-cut potato chips, black pepper or sea salt flavored
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • fresh rosemary optional, to taste, for garnish

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large skillet over high heat, add the bacon and cook it, while stirring, until the fat renders and the bacon is just beginning to crisp, about 5-6 minutes.
  • Transfer the bacon to a paper-towel-lined plate to drain.
  • On the prepared, add the potato chips and spread them out in a single layer.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the potato chips.
  • Drizzle the maple syrup evenly over the chips.
  • Sprinkle the cheese and the bacon evenly over the potato chips.
  • Sprinkle the cayenne pepper evenly over the potato chips.
  • Bake until the bacon is crisp and the cheese is melted, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Serve garnished with the rosemary.
