Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta of your choice
  • 1/2 pound frozen broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ranch seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt plus more to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil for the pasta.
  • Cook the pasta to al dente according to the package directions.
  • When the pasta is just tender, add the broccoli and let sit for 1 minute.
  • Reserve 1/4 cup of the starch pasta water.
  • Drain the pasta and the broccoli in a colander.
  • Return the pasta and the broccoli to the pot off the heat.
  • Add the butter and the ranch seasoning, stirring until the butter is melted and everything is coated in the seasoning. If the pasta looks dry, add the reserved pasta water a little at a time.
  • Season with the salt and the pepper and serve.
