Ingredients

  • 1 (1-pound) salmon fillet
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • sea salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander

Directions

  • Preheat the broiler to the high setting.
  • Lightly grease the bottom of a casserole dish.
  • Place the salmon fillet in the prepared casserole dish.
  • Drizzle the salmon with the olive oil, using your hands to make sure the oil covers every surface of the fish.
  • Sprinkle the fish with the salt.
  • In a small bowl, combine the paprika, the garlic powder, the onion powder, and the coriander.
  • Sprinkle the spice mixture liberally over the salmon. Don't worry if you have leftover seasoning mixture.
  • Place the salmon on the second to the top rack of the oven.
  • Broil until cooked through at 145 degrees F, about 6-15 minutes. Broil for less time for a more rare salmon and more time for a thicker cut.
  • Allow the salmon to cool for at least 5 minutes before serving.
