Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh garlic crushed
- 1 pound sirloin steaks thick, boneless, and sliced into 1/4-1/2-inch strips
- 1 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed tomato soup
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 4 cups white rice optional, steamed
Directions
- In a medium skillet, heat the canola oil over medium-high heat.
- Cook the garlic in the hot oil until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add the beef.
- Lower the stove-top heat to medium.
- Brown the beef, stirring often, for about 4-6 minutes.
- In a bowl combine the tomato soup, water, soy sauce, vinegar, and pepper flakes, mixing until incorporated.
- Add the sauce to the beef mixture and increase the heat to medium-high.
- Bring the mixture to a low boil.
- Add the broccoli.
- Immediately reduce the heat to medium and cook, covered, until the broccoli is tender, about 4-6 minutes. Stir often to avoid sticking.
- Serve over steamed white rice.
