Ingredients
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons olive oil divided
- 12 ounces kielbasa or sausage sliced
- 1/4 cup salted butter
- 1 large onion diced
- 1/2 head cabbage chopped
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2/3 cup frozen peas
- salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
Directions
- Cook the egg noodles to al dente, according to the package directions.
- Drain the noodles and set them aside.
- In a large saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon of the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the sausage and cook until lightly browned, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the remaining olive oil, the butter, and the onion and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the cabbage and the garlic and cook until the cabbage is tender and the sausage is cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.
- Stir in the peas, the noodles, the salt, and the pepper and cook until heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve.
