- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes with garlic and onion, drained
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon pepper
- 24 bacon strips, cooked and broken into 1-inch pieces
- For the glaze:
- 1 cup butter, cubed
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Grease two 9x13-inch baking pans.
Step 3 -Cut each package of the rolls in half horizontally without separating them.
Step 4 -Place the bottoms of the rolls in the prepared baking pans.
Step 5 -In each pan, place 5 slices of the cheese on the bottom halves of the rolls.
Step 6 -Bake until the cheese has melted, about 3-5 minutes.
Step 7 -In a large skillet, cook the beef and the onion over medium heat, while crumbling the meat, until the beef is no longer pink and the onion is tender, about 6-8 minutes.
Step 8 -Drain the fat from the skillet.
Step 9 -Stir the tomatoes, 1 tablespoon of the mustard, 1 tablespoon of the Worcestershire sauce, the salt, and the pepper into the meat mixture and cook, while stirring, until it is combined, about 1-2 minutes.
Step 10 -Evenly spoon the beef mixture over the melted cheese in the baking dishes.
Step 11 -Top the meat mixture with the bacon and the remaining cheese.
Step 12 -Place the roll tops on top of the cheese.
Step 13 -In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter, the brown sugar, the remaining Worcestershire sauce, and the remaining mustard.
Step 14 -Microwave the mixture on high heat, covered and stirring occasionally, until the butter has melted.
Step 15 -Pour the glaze over the rolls and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
Step 16 -Bake the sliders, uncovered, until they are golden-brown and heated through, about 20-25 minutes.
Step 17 -Serve.
