Recipe Background
Two is usually always better than one. Think about it: would you rather have one layer of your favorite dessert or two? We assumed it was the latter, which is why it's called Double-Decker Apple Crisp and not Single Layer Apple Crisp or something along those lines. Imagine this: two layers of cinnamon-y, brown sugar goodness coating juicy, tender Honeycrisp apples. Sounds like a heavenly fall wonderland to us, and in this case, more is definitely more. You must not skimp on the garnishes with this one; make sure you enjoy delicious dynamic dessert pairings, such as Double-Decker Apple Crisp with creamy, vanilla ice cream, your favorite gooey caramel sundae syrup, or salty pecans... or all three! Go ahead and dig in; you can thank us later!
