Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Coat a 9x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, add the butter, the granulated sugar, and the brown sugar and use an electric hand mixer to beat until it is light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and the vanilla to the butter mixture and beat until it is well-combined.
- In a medium bowl, add the flour, the cinnamon, the baking powder, and the salt and whisk to combine.
- Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and beat with the electric hand mixer until the batter is just combined.
- Evenly pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Evenly sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the batter.
- Bake the bars until they are golden but still slightly soft, about 25-30 minutes.
- Cut the bars into squares and serve.
