Ingredients
- 4 large russet potatoes washed
- 3 tablespoons butter melted
- 1-2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1-2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
- 4-7 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
- green onions optional, sliced, to taste
- sour cream optional
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Cover a baking sheet with foil and spray with nonstick spray.
- Cut the ends off of the potatoes and discard them.
- Slice the potatoes into 1/2-inch slices.
- Brush both sides of the potato slices with butter and sprinkle with salt.
- Place the potatoes on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer and bake until fork-tender, about 30 minutes. Flip the potato slices halfway through baking.
- Top the slices with cheese, bacon, and green onions.
- Return the slices to the oven and bake until the cheese is bubbly, for about 3-5 minutes.
- Top with sour cream and more green onions and serve.
