Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter melted and hot
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 4 ounces semi-sweet baking bar chopped
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, add the flour, the cocoa powder, and the salt and sift together until well-combined.
- In a large bowl, add the hot melted butter, the vegetable oil, and the granulated sugar and whisk until well-combined.
- Add the eggs and the vanilla extract to the butter mixture and whisk until very well-combined, about 1 minute.
- Slowly add the cocoa mixture to the egg mixture and whisk together until just combined.
- Evenly pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with the chopped chocolate pieces.
- Bake the brownies until the middle is no longer jiggly, about 28-32 minutes. Carefully give them a shake to confirm if they are jiggly, as a toothpick test would be deceiving considering the brownies are fudgy.
- Transfer the brownies to a wire rack and let them cool.
- Cut the brownies into bars and serve.
