Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese room temperature
  • 1 (8-ounce) jar prepared salsa
  • 1 (1-pound) block processed cheese such as Velveeta™, sliced
  • tortilla chips to taste, for serving

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Place the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook and stir the beef until it is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Drain the excess grease from the ground beef.
  • Spread the cream cheese in an even layer onto the bottom of a 9-inch square baking dish.
  • Spread the salsa over the cream cheese.
  • Add the ground beef on top of the salsa.
  • Top the beef with the sliced cheese.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake until heated through, about 15 minutes.
  • Serve with the tortilla chips.
