Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 4 cups peas fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated

Directions

  • Preheat a heavy pan or cast-iron skillet over medium-low heat.
  • Add the butter, the garlic, the marjoram, and the peas to the hot pan and stir to combine.
  • Cover the pan and allow the pea mixture to cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the paprika to the pea mixture and stir to combine.
  • Add the flour to the pea mixture and stir to combine.
  • Add the whipping cream, the salt, and the black pepper to the pea mixture and using a whisk, stir until blended.
  • Uncover the pan and cook the pea mixture until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the parmesan cheese to the pea mixture and turn off the heat.
  • Stir the pea mixture until the parmesan is incorporated and the mixture is thickened.
  • Serve immediately.
