What a sparkling way to ring in the New Year! New Year Sparkle is bubbly, joyful, boozy, and just a touch sweet... a fantastically refreshing beverage to have in hand when the clock strikes midnight! It's also a cocktail that's an absolute snap to make, which is perfect for when the party is in full swing! Let the New Year Sparkle carry you away to the happiest new year of them all!
Ingredients
- 3 ounces gin
- 2 ounces fresh lemon juice
- 1 ounce simple syrup, store-bought or homemade
- ice, to taste
- sparkling wine, to taste, chilled
- lemon twists, optional, to taste, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 -In a cocktail shaker, add the gin, the lemon juice, the simple syrup, and the ice.
Step 2 -Cover the shaker and shake until combined and well-chilled, about 10-20 seconds.
Step 3 -Evenly pour the gin mixture into two coupe glasses.
Step 4 -Top the gin mixture in each glass evenly with the sparkling wine.
Step 5 -Serve garnished with the lemon twists.
