Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts boneless and skinless
- 3 shallots sliced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup capers
- 1 lemon sliced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 6 ounces linguine cooked
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
Directions
- Place the chicken breasts, the shallots, and the garlic in the slow cooker.
- Top the chicken mixture with the chicken broth, the lemon juice, the capers, and the lemon slices.
- Dot the surface of the chicken mixture with the butter and season with the salt and the pepper.
- Cook the chicken mixture on low heat until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F, about 5 hours.
- Plate 4 servings of the cooked linguine onto 4 plates, topping each serving with 1 chicken breast and 1/2 cup of the broth, and then garnish with the parsley.
- Serve immediately.
