Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for oiling the grill grates
  • 2 pieces flatbread such as naan or pita
  • 1/2 cup white cheddar cheese shredded
  • 8 slices bacon cooked
  • 12 cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup lettuce chopped or shredded
  • 1/2 avocado thinly sliced
  • 1/8 cup red onion sliced thin
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Directions

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and grease the grates with the olive oil.
  • Place the flatbreads on the prepared grill and cook, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  • Transfer the grilled flatbreads to a large platter.
  • Evenly sprinkle each of the flatbreads with the cheese and arrange the bacon strips over top.
  • Reduce the heat to medium. Return the flatbreads to the grill and cook until the cheese has melted, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Turn the grill off, transfer the grilled flatbreads to the same platter, and evenly top them with the cherry tomatoes, the lettuce, the avocado slices, and the red onions.
  • Season the BLTAs with the salt and the pepper.
  • Serve.
