Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 red bell pepper finely diced
  • 1/2 cup onions finely diced
  • 1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup mini pepperoni
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 2 (6-ounce) cans refrigerated miniature biscuits can substitute 1 (16-ounce) can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef, the red bell peppers, and the onions and cook, while crumbling the meat, until the beef is browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Drain the fat from the skillet.
  • Add the marinara and the pepperoni to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  • Pour the pizza mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Top the pizza mixture with the mozzarella cheese.
  • Separate the miniature biscuits.
  • Place the biscuits evenly over top of the cheese layer.
  • Bake until the biscuits are golden-brown and cooked through, about 25-30 minutes. Check the casserole halfway through its baking time; if the biscuits are browning too quickly, cover the dish with foil and continue to bake for the remaining cook time.
  • Serve hot.
