Ingredients

  • 1 pound hot ground pork sausage
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan cheese shredded
  • 1 teaspoon table salt
  • 6 green onions sliced
  • 1 (13.22-ounce) package mini croissants torn
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 5 large eggs lightly beaten
  • 2 cups Gruyere cheese shredded

Directions

  • Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sausage, breaking it up as it cooks, until browned, about 8 minutes.
  • Toss the sausage, the parmesan, the salt, the green onion, and the croissant pieces together.
  • Arrange the sausage mixture in the prepared baking dish.
  • Whisk the milk, the heavy cream, and the eggs together.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the sausage mixture.
  • Cover and refrigerate the casserole for at least 8 hours and up to overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Uncover the casserole and sprinkle the top with the Gruyere cheese.
  • Bake until golden, about 45 minutes.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes.
