Ingredients

  • neutral-flavored oil to taste, for greasing the grill grates
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 4 (1-pound) T-bone steaks room temperature

Directions

  • Preheat the grill to high heat.
  • Using the oil, lightly grease the grill grates.
  • In a bowl, add the salt, the paprika, the black pepper, the onion powder, the garlic powder, the cayenne pepper, the coriander, and the turmeric and whisk to combine.
  • Thoroughly coat all sides of the steaks with the spice mixture.
  • Add the steaks to the hot grill and cook, flipping them once, until they reach an internal temperature of 130 degrees F for a medium-rare doneness, about 3 minutes-4 minutes per side.
  • Let the steaks rest for 5-7 minutes until they come up to 135 degrees F for medium-rare.
  • Optionally, slice the steaks against the grain and serve.
