Ingredients
- 1 pound extra-lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup onions finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 8 hot dog buns cut into thirds
- 6 dill pickle sandwich slices cut into quarters
- 6 slices American cheese cut into quarters
Directions
- Heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Coat a 13x9-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
- In a bowl, mix the beef, the onion, the ketchup, and the mustard together.
- Arrange the bottom halves of the buns, cut-side up, in the prepared baking pan.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the meat mixture onto each bun and flatten with a spatula.
- Top each of the meat mixtures with the pickles, the cheese, and the top of the bun.
- Bake, covered, until the internal temperature of the meat reads 160 degrees F.
- Serve.
