Ingredients
- 1 pound asparagus
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- fresh ground black pepper to taste
- 1 lemon 1/2 zested and the other 1/2 sliced
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese shredded
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
- Cut off the tough bottom ends of the asparagus. Add the asparagus stalks to a foil-lined baking sheet.
- Drizzle the asparagus with the olive oil, and add the kosher salt and black pepper.
- Add the zest of the 1/2 lemon and mix it with your hands.
- Add 4 of the lemon slices to the baking sheet. Sprinkle the asparagus with the parmesan cheese.
- Bake until tender when pierced by a fork at the thickest part, about 10-15 minutes. The timing will depend on the thickness of the asparagus spears. The asparagus spears in the photo were done in 12 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
