Ingredients

  • 8 ounces thin spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan grated
  • 1 fresh lemon zested and sliced into wedges
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  • Cook the pasta to al dente according to the package directions.
  • Drain the pasta and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, combine the chopped parsley, the parmesan, the lemon zest, and the pepper. Set the bowl aside.
  • Add the olive oil and the minced garlic to the pot you used to cook the pasta, sautéing over medium heat just until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove the pot from the heat and add in the pasta and the butter.
  • Add the parsley mixture to the pot and toss to coat.
  • Squeeze about 1 tablespoon of the fresh lemon juice over the pasta.
  • Season the pasta with the salt.
  • Toss the pasta to combine and taste for seasoning.
  • Serve warm!
