Ingredients
- 1 (16.3-18-ounce) box fudge brownie mix plus the ingredients called for on the package
- 1 3/4 cups cold 2% milk
- 2 (3.4-ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1/4 cup brewed coffee cold
- 2 cups whipped topping
- 1 (1.4-ounce) chocolate-toffee candy bar such as Heath®, crushed
Directions
- Prepare the brownie batter and bake in an 8-inch square baking pan according to the package directions.
- Allow the brownies to cool.
- Cut the brownies into 1-inch square pieces.
- In a large bowl, add the milk and the pudding mix until thickened, about 2 minutes.
- Add the coffee and stir to combine.
- Fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture.
- In a trifle bowl or a 2-quart glass bowl, add 1/3 of the brownie pieces in a single layer.
- Add 1/3 of the pudding mixture over top of the brownie layer.
- Sprinkle 1/3 of the crushed candy bar over top of the pudding layer.
- Repeat the layers twice, ending with the remaining crushed candy bar.
- Chill the trifle in the refrigerator, about 3-4 hours.
- Serve.
