Ingredients

For the dip:

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound ground sirloin
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 12 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 (8-ounces) package cheddar jack cheese shredded

For the sauce:

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon pickle brine

Optional, for serving:

  • 1/4 cup dill pickles chopped
  • 1 cup lettuce thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onions diced
  • 1/2 cup tomatoes diced
  • pita chips to taste

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Over medium-high heat, add the oil in a medium-sized skillet.
  • Add the ground sirloin, the Worcestershire sauce, the salt, and the pepper.
  • Cook the beef until it is no longer pink, breaking it apart using a wooden spoon, about 6 minutes.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat.
  • Slather and spread the cream cheese across the bottom of a 10-inch cast-iron skillet.
  • Layer 1/2 of the shredded cheese on the cream cheese layer.
  • Add the cooked beef in an even layer.
  • Add the remaining shredded cheese on top of the beef layer.
  • Bake until the edges are bubbly, about 20 minutes.
  • Allow the dip mixture to cool for 10 minutes.
  • Combine the mayonnaise, the mustard, the ketchup, the garlic powder, the onion powder, the smoked paprika, and the pickle brine in a small bowl.
  • Top the dip with the chopped pickle, the lettuce, the red onion, the tomato, and the sauce.
  • Serve with the pita chips.
