Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 6 chicken breasts boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 pound fresh green beans trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 5 ounces cream cheese cubed
  • 6 ounces prepared chicken stuffing mix

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Set it aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat on the stovetop, melt the butter.
  • Add the chicken to the skillet.
  • Sprinkle the chicken with the black pepper.
  • Sauté the chicken breasts until they are cooked through, registering 165 degrees F in the thickest parts, about 5 minutes on each side.
  • Place the cooked chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  • In the same skillet, add the green beans, cooking and stirring until they are crisp-tender, about 6 minutes.
  • Add the flour and stir for 1 minute.
  • Stir in the chicken broth and allow the mixture to simmer, stirring frequently, for 3 minutes.
  • Add the cream cheese and stir until melted.
  • Spoon the green beans and the sauce over the chicken breasts.
  • Top the chicken mixture with the stuffing.
  • Bake until heated through, about 30 minutes.
