Ingredients

2 3/4 cups milk cold, divided
2 (1.33-ounce) envelopes dry whipped topping mix such as Dream Whip®
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 (3.5-ounce) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
1 (9-inch) graham cracker pie crust pre-baked
whipped cream optional, to taste
cocoa powder optional, to taste, for garnish

Directions

In a medium bowl, add 1 cup of the milk, the dry whipped topping mixes, and the vanilla extract and using an electric hand mixer on high speed, beat to combine until it thickens, about 6 minutes.
Add the remaining milk and the pudding mix to the whipped topping mixture and using the electric hand mixer on low speed, beat until it is incorporated.
Using a rubber spatula, scrape down the sides of the bowl.
Using the electric hand mixer on high speed, beat the chocolate mixture on high speed again until it is fluffy, about 2 minutes.
Using a rubber spatula, add the chocolate mixture into the pie crust, spreading it out evenly.
Add the whipped cream over the chocolate mixture layer in the pie crust, spreading it out evenly
Transfer the pie to the refrigerator and allow it to chill for at least 4 hours and up to overnight.
Garnish the pie withh the cocoa powder, slice, and serve.
