Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 6 pork chops boneless
- 1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 4 potatoes thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup onion chopped
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- parsley optional, to taste, chopped, for garnish
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the vegetable oil.
- Add the pork chops to the heated vegetable oil and sear them on each side until golden-brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- In a large bowl, add the condensed cream of mushroom soup and the milk and stir to combine.
- Into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, arrange the potatoes and the onions in an even layer.
- Add the browned pork chops in a single layer on top of the potato-onion layer.
- Evenly add the soup mixture over the top of the pork chop layer.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Evenly sprinkle the cheddar cheese over top of the pork chops.
- Bake until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 30 minutes.
- Garnish with the parsley and serve.
