Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound lean ground beef
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, combine the egg, water, breadcrumbs, onion, salt, and pepper.
- Break the ground beef into chunks, then add the chunks to the bowl.
- Mix gently, but thoroughly, with your hands to combine. Don't overmix.
- Form the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the meatballs on a broiler pan or a pan with sides topped with a wire rack.
- Bake until the meatballs register 165 degrees F on a meat thermometer, about 25-30 minutes.
- Serve warm.
