Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder plus more to taste
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
- dried basil to taste
- dried oregano to taste
- pasta cooked, of your choice
- parsley optional, fresh chopped, for garnish
Directions
- Put the milk, the cottage cheese, the cornstarch, the salt, the pepper, the garlic powder, and the parmesan in a blender or food processor.
- Blend the mixture until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a small saucepan.
- Add the basil and the oregano to the mixture.
- Cook the mixture over medium-low heat until heated through and smooth.
- Taste the sauce for seasoning.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the pasta to the sauce and let it soak, about 2 minutes.
- Garnish with the parsley and serve.
