Ingredients

  • 1 (15-ounce) can black-eyed peas drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15-ounce) can black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 1/2 cups Roma tomatoes diced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper chopped
  • 1/2 cup red onion chopped
  • 1 jalapeño pepper chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • tortilla chips optional, to taste, for serving

Directions

  • In a large mixing bowl, add the black-eyed peas, the black beans, the tomatoes, the bell peppers, the red onions, the jalapeño, the cilantro, the olive oil, the vinegar, the Worcestershire sauce, the seasoned salt, the cumin, and the black pepper and mix well to combine.
