Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts boneless and skinless
- 4 slices Swiss or mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup parmesan cheese grated, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- rice to taste, cooked and warm, for serving
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and place them on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Place 1 slice of the Swiss cheese on top of each of the chicken breasts.
- In a medium bowl, add the mayonnaise, the sour cream, 1/2 cup of the parmesan cheese, the salt, the black pepper, and the garlic powder and stir to combine.
- Evenly spread the mayonnaise mixture over the top of the cheese-topped chicken breasts.
- Sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top of the mayonnaise mixture.
- Bake the chicken breasts until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, about 1 hour.
- Serve the chicken breasts over the cooked rice.
