Ingredients
- 1 pound bacon
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons onion soup mix
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 cup lettuce finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons basil finely chopped
- 1 cup tomatoes diced
- 1 avocado thinly sliced
- 3 green onions chopped
- crackers optional, to taste, for serving
- chips optional, to taste, for serving
Directions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the bacon and cook, flipping them once, until brown and crispy, about 8-10 minutes.
- Transfer the bacon to a paper-towel-lined plate to drain.
- Pat the bacon dry and when it is cool enough to handle, crumble or chop the bacon into small pieces.
- In a bowl, add the cream cheese, the sour cream, the mayonnaise, and the onion soup mix and mix until smooth.
- Add the cream cheese mixture to a 9-inch pie dish or an 8x8-inch square baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Layer the cheddar cheese, the lettuce, the basil, the tomatoes, the crumbled bacon, the avocados, and the green onions, in that order, on top of the cream cheese mixture in the baking dish.
- Serve the dip with the crackers and the chips.
