Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 8 chicken thighs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- paprika to taste
- 1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (1-ounce) package dry onion soup mix
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
- mushrooms optional, to taste, sliced and sautéed, for serving
- fresh parsley optional, to taste, chopped, for garnish
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat the vegetable oil.
- Add the chicken thighs to the hot oil and brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Transfer the chicken thighs to the prepared baking dish.
- Season the chicken with the salt, the pepper, and the paprika.
- Combine the cream of mushroom soup, the onion soup mix, the sour cream, the lemon juice, and the dill weed in a bowl.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
