Ingredients
- 2 cups rotini pasta uncooked
- 1 pound hamburger
- 1 large sweet onion diced
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 (24-ounce) jar pasta sauce
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese shredded
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease a 10x15-inch baking dish.
- In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta to al dente according to the package directions.
- While the pasta cooks, in a skillet, add the hamburger, the onion, the salt, and the pepper and cook, while crumbling the meat, until the meat is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the cottage cheese to the hamburger mixture.
- Add the pasta sauce and the cooked pasta to the hamburger mixture and stir to combine.
- Pour the pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with the cheese.
- Bake until the cheese is bubbly, about 15 minutes.
- Serve.
