Ingredients

3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 chicken breasts boneless and skinless
12 slices bacon
mashed potatoes optional, to taste, cooked and hot, for serving
parsley optional, to taste, chopped, for garnish

Directions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Coat a 9x13-inch baking pan with nonstick spray.
In a small bowl, add the maple syrup and the chili powder and whisk to combine.
In a separate small dish, add the onion powder, the garlic powder, the salt, and the black pepper and whisk to combine.
Rub the dry seasoning mixture all over the chicken breasts.
Wrap 3 slices of the bacon around each of the chicken breasts.
Transfer the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts to the prepared baking dish.
Brush each of the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts evenly with the maple syrup mixture.
Bake until the chicken breasts reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, about 25-30 minutes.
Optionally, switch the oven to broil and cook until the bacon is crisp, about 2-3 minutes.
Plate the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts over the mashed potatoes.
Garnish with the parsley and serve.
