Ingredients
- 1 (15.5-ounce) can refried beans
- 1 cup prepared Picante sauce
- 1 cup pepper jack cheese shredded
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 4 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1 jalapeño stems and seeds removed, finely diced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 green onions optional, chopped, for garnish
- tortilla chips optional, to taste, for serving
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, combine the refried beans, the Picante sauce, the pepper jack cheese, the cheddar cheese, the sour cream, the cream cheese, the jalapeño, the chili powder, and the cumin.
- Mix the bean mixture with an electric handheld mixer until combined.
- Pour the bean mixture into a square baking dish or a large oven-safe skillet.
- Bake until bubbly and hot, about 25-30 minutes.
- Sprinkle with the green onions and serve with the tortilla chips.
