Ingredients
- 1 cup barbeque sauce
- 1/2 cup burgundy wine or beef broth
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 (2-pound) beef flank steak
Directions
- In a small bowl, whisk the barbeque sauce, the wine, and the lemon juice together until it is blended.
- Pour 1 cup of the marinade into a shallow dish.
- Add the beef to the marinade and turn to coat it.
- Cover the beef and refrigerate it for 4 hours and up to overnight.
- Cover the remaining marinade and refrigerate.
- Drain the beef.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the steak, covered, until a thermometer inserted into the center reads at least 135 degrees F, about 6-8 minutes on each side.
- Let the beef stand for 5 minutes to rise to at least 145 degrees F internally.
- Slice the beef thinly across the grain.
- Serve the beef with the reserved marinade.
