Ingredients
- 1 pound medium or large shell pasta
- 1 pound ground hamburger
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons dried onion
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 2 (10.75-ounce) cans tomato soup
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- fresh herbs such as basil or parsley, optional, for garnish
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the pasta to al dente, according to the package directions.
- Drain the pasta and set it aside.
- In a frying pan, season the hamburger meat with the garlic powder, the dried onion, the salt, and the pepper and cook, while crumbling, until it is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour the cooked pasta into the prepared baking dish.
- Add the hamburger meat and the tomato soup to the pasta and stir to combine.
- Sprinkle the cheddar cheese and the mozzarella cheese over the casserole.
