Ingredients
- 4 cups penne pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 green pepper chopped
- 1 (23.5 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese divided
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease a 9x13-inch oven-safe baking dish.
- Boil and cook the pasta according to package directions.
- Cook the beef and green peppers together over medium-high heat in a large-sized pan, making sure to only stop cooking when the meat is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain the pan of fat and set the beef mixture aside.
- When the pasta is finished cooking, drain the noodles and put them in a large mixing bowl.
- Stir in the beef mixture, spaghetti sauce, eggs, and 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Move the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
- Top the bake with the remaining cheese. Bake the dish uncovered for about 30 minutes.
- Serve the dish warm.
