Ingredients
- 8 ounces rigatoni
- 3/4 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup onions chopped
- 1 (15-ounce) can pizza sauce
- 2/3 cup cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups part-skim mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1 (3.5-ounce) package pepperoni slices
- fresh basil or arugula to taste, chopped, for garnish
Directions
- In a pot of salted, boiling water, cook the rigatoni to al dente, according to package directions. Drain the water.
- In a large skillet over medium, add the beef and the onions and cook, while crumbling the meat, until the beef is no longer pink. Drain the excess grease.
- Reduce the heat to low. Add the pizza sauce, the cream of mushroom soup, and the cheese to the beef mixture and cook, while stirring, until the cheese is melted.
- Add the cooked rigatoni and the pepperoni slices to the beef mixture and stir to combine. Cook until they are heated through.
- Serve the pasta mixture garnished with the basil.
