Ingredients
- 1 (13.8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dough or pizza dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce plus more as needed and for dipping
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- pepperoni optional, to taste
- bell peppers optional, to taste
- olives optional, to taste
- onions optional, to taste
- mushrooms optional, to taste
- ranch dressing optional, for dipping
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Line a large baking sheet with foil and spray it lightly with cooking spray.
- Lightly flour a large wooden cutting board.
- Roll out the dough onto the floured surface, pressing the seams together as you go.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, to the edges.
- Top the sauce with the shredded mozzarella and your preferred pizza toppings.
- Roll the pizza widthwise (the longest side) and seal the edges.
- Slice the roll into 1-inch pieces.
- Place the pinwheels on the prepared cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake until the tops are golden brown, about 9-11 minutes.
- Allow to cool for a couple of minutes, then serve with your preferred dipping sauces.
