Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
Directions
- In a large bowl, add the olive oil, the brown sugar, the lemon juice, the garlic, the paprika, the Italian seasoning, the basil, and the pepper and stir to combine.
- Add the shrimp to the marinade mixture and toss to coat.
- Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator. Let the shrimp marinate, about 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to the broil setting.
- Grease a baking sheet.
- Transfer the bowl from the refrigerator and drain the marinade.
- Evenly spread the marinaded shrimp on the prepared baking sheet.
- Broil the shrimp 4 inches from the heat source, flipping halfway through, until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F and are pink, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Serve.
