Ingredients

4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets boneless and skin-on
1/3 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/3 cup honey
1 tablespoon sesame oil
3 cloves garlic minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger peeled and minced
green onions to taste, sliced, for garnish
sesame seeds to taste, for garnish

Directions

Add the salmon fillets to a large resealable plastic bag.
In a medium bowl, add the soy sauce, the honey, the sesame oil, the garlic, and the ginger and whisk to combine.
Pour 1/2 of the marinade over the salmon fillets then flip them to coat both sides. Seal the bag and allow the fillets to marinate in the refrigerator, about 15 minutes. Keep the remaining marinade in the bowl and set it aside.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet, then pour the marinade from the plastic bag back into the reserved marinade in the bowl.
Bake the salmon fillets until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 15-20 minutes. If desired, switch the oven to the broil setting and broil during the last minute of cooking until the edges are crispy.
In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, add the marinade mixture and bring it to a boil.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer the marinade mixture until it has thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
Transfer the saucepan from the heat, then evenly drizzle the marinade glaze over the baked salmon fillets.
Serve the salmon fillets garnished with the green onions and the sesame seeds.
