Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the topping:
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- fresh fruit of your choice, to taste
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Cream together the butter and the 3/4 cup of the sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Add the egg.
- In a separate mixing bowl, combine the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the flour mixture to the butter and sugar mixture until just combined, careful not to overmix.
- Press the dough into an ungreased pizza pan.
- Bake the crust until golden, about 8-10 minutes.
- Remove the crust from the oven.
- While the pizza crust cools, beat the cream cheese, the 1/2 cup of the sugar, and the vanilla together in a large mixing bowl.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly onto the cooled crust.
- Arrange your favorite fruit on top in a pattern of your choice and allow it to cool in the refrigerator.
- Serve once cooled.
