Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- 2 cups white sugar divided
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 eggs
- 2 lemons juiced
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a medium bowl, blend the softened butter, 1/2 cup of white sugar, and 2 cups of flour.
- Press the butter mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 9x13-inch pan.
- Bake the crust until firm and golden, about 15-20 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining sugar and remaining flour.
- Add the eggs and lemon juice and whisk to combine.
- Pour the lemon mixture over the baked crust.
- Bake until cooked through, about 20 minutes. The bars will firm up as they cool.
- Allow the bars to cool completely.
- Cut and serve.
