Ingredients

  • 1 (10-ounce) package semisweet or milk chocolate
  • white chocolate to taste
  • assorted nuts to taste
  • shredded coconut to taste
  • Oreo® crumbs to taste
  • sprinkles to taste
  • 2 pounds fresh strawberries

Directions

  • Dry the outside of the strawberries thoroughly. The chocolate will not stay on the strawberries if they are wet.
  • Pour the chocolate chips into a microwaveable bowl.
  • Pour your preferred toppings in separate bowls.
  • Line a baking sheet pan with parchment or waxed paper.
  • Microwave the chocolate in 30-second intervals, making sure to stir between intervals, until the chocolate is completely melted.
  • Hold 1 of the strawberries by the stem, and dip it into the melted chocolate.
  • Lift the strawberry from the chocolate, giving it a slight twist to help the excess chocolate fall back into the bowl.
  • Dip the strawberry in your preferred toppings, doing a similar twist as you lift the strawberry out.
  • Place the dipped strawberry on the prepared sheet tray.
  • Repeat the process with the rest of the strawberries.
  • For decoration, dip a fork in the melted white chocolate and use it to drizzle it over the dipped strawberries.
  • Chill the strawberries in the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens and creates a shell around the strawberries, about 15 minutes.
  • Serve!
