Ingredients
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 large eggs slightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons minced dried onion
- 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup ketchup
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, the oats, the tomato sauce, the eggs, the dried onion, the garlic, the salt, and the black pepper until well-combined.
- Transfer the meat mixture into a 9x5–inch loaf pan.
- Bake the loaf until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F, about 1 hour.
- Transfer the pan from the oven and spread the ketchup over the top.
- Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes.
- Serve.
